November 13, Nov. 9 and 8

Freshman

November 8

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

Students listed conflicts in the novel and analyzed the novel for relevance to modern times.

Students began work on a collage which is to be presented to the class.

HW: rd. ch. 25-26

November 9

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

We read chapters 27-30 in class and discussed the significance of fantasy/projection vs. reality.

Students continued with the collage.

Students turned in their essays.

HW: none

November 13

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

Students wrote a 3/4 page journal: “What makes this novel ‘great?’ Or is TKAM a great novel?”

Students continued working on the collage.

HW: study, prepare for the test.



Juniors

November 8

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

Students continued with their presentations.

Students went over the first two study guides.

Students began reading chapter 3.

HW: rd. ch. 3-6


November 9

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

We went over chapters 3-6.

We watched a video of Twain’s life.

HW: rd. ch. 7-10

November 13

Please write a one page journal entry to makeup for today’s Daily Language.

Students groups met for ten minutes.

We read chapter 11 in class.

Students wrote a 3/4 page journal: “What are the three most important conflicts of this novel? Please explain how they relate to the other novels we’ve read.”

We completed the study guide for chapters 4-7 and students turned them all in.
