Students wrote a 3/4 page journal: “Why does Atticus want to defend Tom Robinson? What at the end will happen to/for the children? In what way will the children’s innocence be lost?”
We discussed issues around being a lady. Students compared and contrasted modern expectations for women vs. those from a hundred years ago.
