July 31: Welcome Back

Juniors

Daily Language

Students received the class syllabus, viewed the class website, and were told of my expectations.

Intro American Dream: we engaged in an activity concerning this topic and took notes.

Students received the study guides and vocabulary for Act 1, sc. i.

First essay: “Who I am: Using at least three examples, please write a two to three page narrative essay conveying to me who you believe yourself to be.”

Students received the book and began reading the play.

HW: read act 1, sc. 1


Freshman

Students received the class syllabus, viewed the class website, and were told of my expectations.

First essay: Please write about one thing that happened to you over the summer that was meaningful. Due Wednesday, August 2.


Begin entry assessment.

HW: work on your essay.
